the She-Devils can only be described as a Raw Hard Post Punk Cunt Rock Core band, and are the originators of a new genre of angry female driven music, Cuntcore! Coming out of Springfield, Illinois, this all-original fantastic four has been at the forefront of the midwest music scene since their debut. With a unique mix of moody, sultry, spooky melodies, thick, sludgy, grinding rhythms, and heavy, pounding, danceable choruses created by smooth howling baritone bass, abrasive de-tuned guitar, rumbling sub bass, and industrialized power drumming, topped off with unforgettable aggressive female vocals.
'The Drug Trash Demos' is the first CD release by the She-Devils, featuring 4-Track demos of songs recorded by Bruce Williams' indendent record label Orange Juice Records. Included on the release, 'Bitch Crack', shows the bands' versatility with a haunting melody and an explosive distorted chorus. 'Erase'', gives the listener an idea of just how dark and moody the She-Devils can be. Whereas, the album closer, 'Strip', an obvious fan favorite, shows the angry and aggressive side of the band. "You can't deny the power this female-fronted band bring to their music. The singer belts out her words as the band creates a mighty din behind her," Will Lerner, Listen.com. The members of the She-Devils, Vain Jayne (Vocals, Baritone Bass), Michael Devious (Guitar), Cavey Blade (Bass), and Colin Inferno (Drums), come together to deliver a consistent unmistakable look and sound, all the while maintaining their unique individuality. Bringing together influnces from bands such as Babes In Toyland, the Melvins, and the Misfits. Seperately the bands' members have always stood out in the local music scene, by being involved in groundbreaking and cutting edge established local bands. From the only successful Springfield riot grrrl band, Beezus, to the first Springfield wordcore band the Gaslight Addiction, and the now legendary Springfield punk rock band the Stifs. Together, the She-Devils distinguish themselves by holding on to their experimental anything goes musical outlook, while giving the people what they want, raw energetic rock music. the She-Devils have already begun to make a name for themselves in the local and worldwide music scene. With a successful website and extensive mailing list, inclusion in the Panx Records Punk Girl Archive, and holding the #1 spot on the Springfield Concert Web's most active sites list. Appearances at the annual Hobgoblinspookadelic Halloween show with N.I.L.8 and summertime festival, The Big Freebie, with local bands including Mag. Live shows at the oldest indoor skate park, Skank Skates, with national acts like The 8 Bucks Experiment.
